This repetitive, durational performance was made to tour plug points in buildings and rooms. In the performance, the microphone, which was stuck around my waist with Sellotape, was plugged into an amp. As I played air guitar the expressive, percussive noise of the microphone being struck with a plectrum accompanied the amplified, jangly guitar music on the track I was playing along with. Once the track finished, a crew hurriedly helped me dismantle the set — an amp and CD player — and find a different plug point. After setting-up again the show went on, and on, and on…
In ‘Tour’ I toured rooms and buildings and occasionally performed on stage.
